Ms. Sherab Zangmo and Ms. Karma Tsering, representatives of the Department of Cottage and Small Industries, Ministry of Economic Affairs, Kingdom of Bhutan together with Ms. Severina Banaga of the   University of the Philippines -Institute for Small Scale Industries (UP ISSI) visited  the Association of Negros Producers (ANP) .

Kingdom of Bhutan, is a landlocked state in South Asia, located at the eastern end of the Himalayas and bordered to the south, east and west by the Republic of India and to the north by the People's Republic of China. Bhutan is separated from the nearby country of Nepal to the west by the Indian state of Sikkim, and from Bangladesh to the south by West Bengal.

The visit is part of the University of the Philippines -Institute for Small Scale Industries (UP ISSI) three-week training program on Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise promotion and Development. Part of the objective of the program is for the participants to learn the best practices , strategies, policies and approaches in the promotion and development of the micro, small and medium enterprises in selected countries like Philippines and Thailand.
