Spotted (right side/girl in trousers): Owner, Emgee Po during the first opening of Get Spotted Shop

I know of someone who first started selling clothes online and succeeded to launch a boutique in Bacolod City. She was a schoolmate way back college, a Marketing graduate of University of St. La Salle in Bacolod. This young and savvy entrepreneur named Mary Grace “Emgee” Po initially started her business way back 2012 as an online retailer of “Get Spotted Shop”. The idea of having this kind of business was conceptualized because she is fond of buying trendy, yet affordable clothing for personal use. As she was always in search for clothes and “butingtings”, she came to realize that these carry a pricey premiums in the malls. It was then that she planned and eventually decided to put the business into reality. And the rest is history…Get Spotted Shop’s vision is to cater to the digital generation’s need for affordable yet trendy clothing. As the case should be, clothes need not be expensive to be fashionable. Get Spotted Shop’s product has evolved by offering clothes, swimwear, footwear, bags, watches, accessories, U.S. goodies, gift items, and more.

Get Spotted Shop’s fashion pieces are selling like hot cakes since these are admired and paraded by showbiz celebrities like Laureen Uy, Angelica Panganiban, Rhian Ramos, Antoinette Taus, among others. As the business expanded in 2014, Get Spotted opened its doors to the people of Bacolod through its boutique in Lopue’s East Center. Eventually, the store attracted customers from a varied genre and since gained following from all-over the globe. Get Spotted has established a partnership with Zalora, Asia’s leading online fashion hub. Moreover, has signed a deal with Lazada, the biggest E-commerce platform in Southeast Asia.

Emgee’s success as early as in her 20’s can be attributed to her talent and passion for fashion coupled with her entrepreneurial spirit. I was supposed to interview her here in Bacolod to know more about her business, but she is currently pursuing her Fashion Styling Course in School of Fashion and the Arts (SoFa) in Manila. The growth of Get Spotted Shop has been both rewarding and challenging and this is made possible by the perseverance and hard work of its vibrant entrepreneur.
Anyone who aspires to be an  entrepreneur can be one and make her own story of success. It’s never too late.

After all, it’s a crowded world….Get Spotted!
