Philippines’ largest developer of integrated urban townships, Megaworld is building a commercial town center, the rising 53-hectare Northill Gateway township on the Bacolod side of  Negros Occidental.

Covering around 7.5 hectares, the NORTHILL TOWN CENTER will be a sprawling horizontal commercial development which will be comprised mostly of stand-alone two-storey structures dining establishments and  retails shops on a landscaped parks and open spaces.

The town center, which will be accessible along the Bacolod-Silay Airport Access Road, will also feature a central plaza, ‘pasalubong’ centers featuring local Negrense delicacies and crafts, an events venue, wellness and sports facilities and  a supermarket.

Kevin L. Tan, senior vice president and head of Megaworld Lifestyle Malls  said, “We are excited to build the first-ever commercial development along the Negros Occidental’s tourism highway which is the Bacolod-Silay Airport Access Road. The Northill Town Center will surely become a destination not just for tourists and visitors of Negros, but also for Bacolodnons and Negrenses who want to unwind and relax from the busy city life. This major development will be an energizing move of the brand of ‘lifestyle mall’ Megaworld is creating in its various townships that are now made accessible to the people of the Province of  Negros Occidental.

Almost third of the entire commercial development will be dedicated to green and open spaces. One of the highlights of this development is the town center’s ‘central plaza’ marked by a unique water feature. Also, another major landmark which will be added to the place will be a township iconic chapel.

The major architectural features of the development will be mostly modern contemporary with accents of organic wood and bricks  to infuse a countryside feel.

Early next year, the construction of the NORTHILL TOWN CENTER will already start early and is expected to be completed early of 2018.

Northill Gateway is a joint township development partnership between  Megaworld and its wholly-owned subsidiary Suntrust Properties, Inc.,and the Lacson Family.

Currently, Megaworld is constructing the Forbes Hill, the township’s most upscale and first of its kind  residential village, while Suntrust is building another themed residential community , the Fountain Grove.

Megaworld is putting up a P35-billion in the next 10 years to develop Northill Gateway and The Upper East, another upcoming township near the Bacolod City center which was announced last year.
