SHOWBIZ: MULAWIN VS RAVENA STAR IN BACOLOD

By now fans of the GMA 7 Kapuso Network’s primetime action-fantaserye, Mulawin vs Ravena, are already enjoying the special effects, the fight scenes as well as the kilig scenes as the story unfolds.

It was about 15 years ago when the original Mulawin became an instant hit with its stunts, feathered costumes and heavy metal props that were used on the show that then starred Richard Gutierrez and Angel Locsin.

Now Mulawin vs Ravena is back starring GMA 7’s top stars –Dennis Trillo, Lovi Poe, Carla Abellana, Chynna Ortaleza, Angelu de Leon, TJ Trinidad, Dion Ignacio, Nova Villa, Bobby Andrews and Regine Velasquez-Alcasid. Joining them are Kapuso Network’s new breed of fresh talents like Kiko Estrada, Derrick Monasterio, Bianca Umali, Miguel Tanfelix and Bea Binene.

MULAWIN vs RAVENA stars visited BACOLOD!

The cast of Mulawin vs Ravena recently invaded Bacolod City to visit their fans and spend time with them, their way of showing appreciation for the Negrense fan base support.
Kiko, Derrick, Bianca, Miguel, Bea and Kapuso Networks newbie singer/actor Migo Adecer welcomed the fans at The Courtyard room of Planta Hotel where they had the usual meet and greet bonding with their supporters. The fans had the chance to have pictures taken with the young stars, of course— selfies and groufies are a must especially for the millennials.

Chit-chatty…

Together with my co-blogger Dhadha Garcia, I had a chat with Miguel, who by the way is the only one from the original Mulawin cast to join Mulawin and Ravena. Only 5 years old when he portrayed the role of Pagaspas (Gas) years ago, Miguel said that this show really taught him the value of hard work and how to respect and love your job and co-workers. He also said that all of them get along well on the set that’s why they enjoy each other’s company especially when they do out of town shows to promote Kapuso shows.

Migo, on the other hand, is not part the cast though he said he joined the Bacolod trip to promote My Love From The Star, a teleserye that stars Jennylyn Mercado. The theme song of this show was sung by Migo. Australian born but Pinoy at heart, Migo says he is willing to learn more about acting and singing because this is what he loves to do. He also wants to be able to help other people because he saw how poverty can affect their lives.

Wrap-up

Wrapping up the meet and greet gathering, the fans just can’t seem to have enough of the Mulawin vs Ravena stars. Again, they had another group shot and autograph signing before they headed to Silay City for a show.
The young stars had a great time in the City of Smiles, I asked Miguel what makes his visit to Bacolod special? “Ang sarap po ng food talaga at mababait ang mga tao.” Mulawin vs Ravena is shown on GMA Kapuso Network Mondays to Fridays at 8:30 pm. 
