2012 OFFICERS OF PMAP NEGROS

Finally, I am free after 2 consecutive terms of Presidency for the People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP-Negros Chapter) by virtue of our Induction of 2012 Officers last   September 27,2011 at O Hotel, Bacolod City. Mr. Rafael Golez, former SRA Board Member was the inducting Officer and Guest Speaker.

I joined PMAP way back 1991 and became President last 2004. I was elected again last 2010 and was extended until 2011. PMAP (formerly Personnel Management Association of the Philippines) has been a big factor in the growth of my Human Resource Management career. It  is in this association where we exchange ideas among our peers in the HR profession and even getting free consultancy by sharing our best HR practices and  techniques   especially in   Labor Relations, HR Programs and Administration, Training and Development, Motivational Programs and many more. Being one of the oldest member (in terms of membership with PMAP, huh!) of the association I can see how we evolved as an association; the  changing practices and trends  in managing people  and the key players as well.  I also see how other members grew big in their careers while others had ventured in  other fields of  management . Indeed, I will always cherish PMAP in my heart. And I will always serve the association  to the best of my ability. With the new leadership, under Louie Jomero’s leadership I am sure PMAP will be in good hands.

PMAP – The Association of Professional Achievers

The People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) is a strictly professional, non-stock, not-for-profit organization of over 1,800 member companies and individual management executives engaged or interested in human resource management (HRM) and industrial relations (IR) work. Founded 50 years ago, PMAP continues the tradition of its forefathers in advancing the profession, the science and the art of human resource management.

As a professional association, PMAP helps institutions mold an enlightened, competent, socially responsible and influential sector of people managers who can effectively participate in nation-building. PMAP also helps its members become more effective on the job by teaching the human aspect of management via numerous career development forums and training programs.

With nineteen (19) Chapters throughout the Philippines, PMAP encourages local participation if national affiliation is geographically difficult. In fact, what further enhances PMAP’s solid reputation as a national association is the dynamism of its local chapters, proven by the success of its respective programs and projects.
