Converse Counter Climate Collection Launched in Bacolod City
ConversePH proudly launched their Fall/Holiday 2016 Converse Counter Climate Footwear and Apparel Collection here in Bacolod City through an intimate media session which included members of the Negros Bloggers Society. I headed to the Converse shoe store located on the 2nd floor of Robinson’s Place Bacolod and as I entered I saw my colleague Ms. Claire Algarme who got there a few minutes ahead of me. While waiting for the others to arrive we looked around the store, took pictures and checked on their latest line-up of chic and comfortable footwear, bags, shirts and work-out gear.
As soon as everyone in the group arrived and got settled we were all welcomed by Mr. Jeffrey Osoc, (Marketing PR Officer –Converse) who flew in from Manila as part of ConversePH provincial tour to promote the collection. In his short briefing, Jeff mentioned the disappointment sneaker-lovers would feel when they can’t wear their comfy shoes during the rainy season. So, as part of their 2016 collection Converse came up with this innovative sneaker collection featuring a bold mix of colors and materials which include water repellent canvas, rubber and leather, and waterproof neoprene. To demonstrate, Jeff held up the black high-cut sneakers with a neon green sole and sprayed water on it several times to prove that it is water-repellant. Well, I can really say that this style is the answer to all sneaker lovers’ concern of having their feet soaked every time they go out in the rain. Another feature of ConversePH Counter Climate and Chucks II sneakers is the lunarlon cushioning padded non-slip tongue that makes the feet more comfortable when walking.
Converse PH also conceptualized different designs for the Chuck Taylor and Jack Purcell line for their clients to enjoy. Chucks have maintained the old fashioned high cut sneakers but they have also come up with new designs. No wonder why a lot of people are so into wearing sneakers. They are trendy and comfy and you can actually wear it with any outfit you want – no limits. There are some celebrities who even wear their Chucks with cocktail dresses, tuxedos, and other formal attire.
I don’t own a pair yet but if I were to have one soon, I will choose the White Jack Purcell and the Mousse Gray Low-Cut Chucks that is part of the Chuck Taylor All Star II Spacer Mesh. I also love the Italian inspired design which is the Missoni sneakers (part of the Spring collection for 2016). Another pair that attracted me was the Chuck Taylor II Shield Canvas Sneaker which is also part of the Counter Climate Collection for this season. The cool army green colored one is also a delight to look at.
